Helping Every StudentGrow Through Language
We believe learning English should feel encouraging, personal, and empowering. Our mission is to help children, adults, families, and professionals build the confidence they need to thrive in school, work, and everyday life.

English Learning That Meets You Where You Are
For over 15 years, I have worked with English learners of all ages, from kindergarten to adulthood, helping them develop both conversational and academic language skills. My approach centers on meeting learners where they are by designing a curriculum tailored for emergent bilinguals, supporting literacy development, and implementing instructional strategies that honor each student’s unique strengths. I specialize in differentiation, scaffolding academic language, and creating individualized learning pathways that empower students to thrive.

Why We Started
I was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States when I was young, bringing my native German with me as I learned to navigate a new culture and a different way of communicating. I still remember the feelings of isolation and loneliness, as well as the challenges of communicating and engaging with the world around me—experiences that many English language learners face. These early experiences shaped me in ways I did not fully understand at the time. They taught me what it feels like to be outside of a language community, watching the world move around me while I tried to carve out my own path. They also instilled in me resilience, curiosity, and the quiet courage necessary to keep trying.
Experienced, Caring Educators

Kenya Gray
Founder & Langauge Coach
I am a certified educator with endorsements in K–12 English as a Second Language, English Language Arts, and History & Social Science. I earned my Master of Education in English as a Second Language from Mary Baldwin University and my Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a social‑cultural perspective from Virginia Commonwealth University.
My passion is helping learners feel seen, supported, and capable. Language learning is not just academic; it’s personal, emotional, and transformative. I strive to create spaces where students feel safe enough to take risks, brave enough to try again, and proud of the progress they make. Guiding learners through a journey I once took myself—from early elementary students to adults—is one of the greatest privileges of my career.
